Tougher Exams in Florida

The Orlando Sentinel reports that Florida plans to begin pilot testing new exams this school year. The new tests are to replace corresponding FCAT exams in the spring of 2015. They are meant to be better, more-comprehensive assessments. In both language arts and math, students are to take a series of exams with the scores combined into one final mark for each subject.
