Providing Technical Guidance on Consortium PolicyThroughout the accessibility policy development process, members of the technical working groups provided technical guidance and expert recommendations on consortium policies described in the PARCC Accessibility Features and Accommodations Manual.
The PARCC Accessibility Features and Accommodations Manual is a comprehensive policy document that provides guidance to districts and decision-making teams to ensure that the PARCC annual assessments provide valid results for all participating students. The group also worked to ensure that Individualized Education Program teams receive information about the common assessment components and training to apply common accommodations guidelines.
Members have a range of expertise in access and accommodations for English learners, students with disabilities and underserved populations, as well as an understanding of K-12 academic content.
